The above is what I meant, although my terminology was unfortunately
inaccurate. I believe the likes of the Canary Islands, the Azores and
Madeira are considered to be fully-integrated parts of their parent
country, unlike say the Faroe Islands (Denmark), Gibraltar (UK) or Aruba
(Netherlands).
