Hi BoundaryPointers

Well, aside from me :-), you mean? I <do> have photos of the FINO
border, north of where the fence photo was taken. I have pics of the
shoreline, and of a canoeist crossing the border mid-paddle. I also
took pics of the Norwegian side and of the Finnish side of the river.

My first attempts at scanning I see have gotten me into trouble. I am
so sorry for the size of these scans. All I did was place the photo
on the scanner, click on SCAN and then let it do the rest. I need to
learn how to reduce the resolution but there is no manual next to the
scanner at work. This truly was my first attempt at scanning anything!

I do not want to get off on the wrong foot at this group. I just
joined and am having a great time reading the archives. This group is
like making 200 instant friends: we are all fascinated by this
subject and get excited at the idea of borders and border crossings.
I have lots more photos of these two FINO crossings (I even skipped a
few cuz I didn't want to post <too many>).

I have a special passion for Finnish culture and the Finnish
language, and for Nordic countries. Next month I will return to
Finland for the fourth time, and also take in side trips to Sweden
and the Faroe Islands.

Please accept my apologies for sending too-large attachments. Can the
moderator remove these photos, or reduce them, or put them in the
Photos or Files sections? Anything to make it easier on you to open
them.
