Mention has been made here before about the section of Hamburg harbor
that was forcibly leased by Germany to Czechoslovakia for 99 years
under the Treaty of Versailles in 1919. The Czech operating company
went belly-up, and the Czech Republic announced recently that just
because it had no operator, it was still going to maintain its lease.
The treaty also provides for the same in Stettin. Does anyone know if
the DDR ever kept it's part of the bargain? Anyone have any map of
the harbor showing the leased area?
Are there any more leased areas around the world these days, outside
of Tin Bigha?
Thanks
