The boat ramp looks like a good fall-back in case the fort is
inaccessible. I think I confused Fort Montgomery with Fort Montgomery
State Park, whick is in Ft. Montgomery, NY, so I assumed there was
relatively easy public access to the fort. The Vermont approach near
monument 644 is a few meters closer to the tri-point than the fort and
it might be interesting to check out some of the peculiar boundary
phenomena on that side.
