bravos brian

that dry cas area is so full of real sea doo too
but absolute or true cas
3 nautical miles seaward from the low tide line there along the monument
line
well that must be a far more savory corner for a visit in this particular
case

btw did you consider the beachfront or the wall end your target extremity

now dont tell me
you dont count the wall as land
only as air or water

but i shouldve known youd sea doo to azcanv too

the current was stiff enough there
as you say
but for me to make that point class b in a canoe
i first had to listen for a lull in all the sea doo din
& then paddle out like hell for the center of the river
before the next wave of sea doos could blow thru
& threaten to swamp the freakin canoe again

the monument you found i think may mark an old possibly mohave rendition of
the canv line
& i found it to be a little off line
when compared with the definitive tripartite modern pair of low slab markers
one of which can be seen in the foreground of the attached pic
just across the road from your taller marker
& i trust its mate can also still be found where i found it
in the corresponding location in arizona above the left bank

but the offset seemed to me so small that i dont think it couldve affected
your class b claim very much
even if you were basing it on that marker
while my hunch is you were just pinning the gps to the topo position anyway
so you wouldnt even have needed to perform the monumental alignment as i did
which btw was no easy task at that acute angle & thru all the intervening
shrubbery
