recently. apparently hollywood, which is part of the<br/>
city of los angeles, wants to seceed and create a new<br/>
independent city. on top of that the san fernando<br/>
valley which is the north part of the city of los<br/>
angeles, wants to break off too. voters will be asked<br/>
to decide the future of LA on november 5. here&#39;s a<br/>

the various polls seem to be all over the place my<br/>
assumption is that this will be an interesting thing<br/>
to watch come election day. will this be the birth of<br/>
2 new cities? one of which would become the 6th<br/>
largest city in the usa, effectively making chicago<br/>
larger than LA. as an aside, the new &#39;san fernando<br/>
valley city&#39; doesnt seem to have a name yet! it is<br/>
consistently referred to as the &#39;new valley city&#39;<br/>
