I am sure saying "We own the piers of Liberty Island"
would bring a lot of prestige to New Jersey. Anyway,
I have forgotten that the Supremes can choose their
case. Maybe New Jersey' case for Liberty Island got
rejected. Anybody wanna check. I am assuming that
wasn't the case for the rest of the message.
I think New Jersey sees it as a pro and con debate.
And that pro and con involves money along with
prestige. When they get most of Ellis Island, they
earn the money of the people who visit. I am not sure
they will get people to visit the 'famed' piers of
Liberty Island except us (no offense) boundary nerds
and earn much money.
A case over Liberty Island will give them less
prestige than the money and bad publicity a supreme
court case would cause.
Just because we think it is a great idea that Liberty
Island should be divided, New Jersey just didn't see
it that way, I guess. You know something, Mike, the
world would have been a more fun place if you and I
were governing it.
Arif
