 </span></blockquote>Not necessarily a bad positon from their POV. Anyway, Switzerland is <br/>
not in the EU yet, but it has signed a couple of contracts about <br/>
liberalising border controls and mutual work permits. This may or may <br/>
not lead to a EU membership, the decision is still to be made in <br/>
years ahead. Meanwhile, Switzerland has joined the UN a couple of <br/>
days ago.<br/>
