Dear BP - members,

the GEEBE is history - a phantastic trip to 9 Eastern
European tripoints and many bordercrossings....

a new expedition is taking shape... more about it later...

attached pls find 2 pics from the Ukrainian borders with
Slovakia and Hungary - at all the Ukrainian borders we
visited there was a certain system:
1. a SK/HU/PL bordermarker (a border post, or "Grenzpfahl"
in German, "grenspaal" in Dutch..) any special word for it
in English??
2. the actual boundary marker, usually a white stone...
3. the UA-BM (another "grenspaal"...painted blue/yellow)

pics: 1- UA-SK near V.Slemence

enjoy
all yours
Peter H.
PS: thanks, Peter S. for the pics from the Basque country,
I had exactly the same experience at that border... no "official
signs" telling you that you enter Spain/France...
Pjotr
