Subject: Info for BC-ID-WA and BC-ID-MT tri-points?<br/>

I may have the opportunity to try and visit the<br/>
British Columbia/Idaho/Washington tri-point and the<br/>
British Columbia/Idaho/Montana tri-point.<br/>
<br/>
Brian Butler has(via emails) given me some info on the<br/>
NAD27 locations of these points(based on USGS topos):<br/>
BC-ID-WA - N48^59&#39;57&quot; W117^01&#39;53&quot;<br/>
BC-ID-MT - N49^00&#39;03&quot; W116^02&#39;53&quot;<br/>

Initialy Brian had indicated these points were not monumented,<br/>
however in a subsequent email he said:<br/>
  Now, having taken another look at the topo map containing<br/>
  BC-ID-MT tri-point, I notice monument &quot;2&quot; along the ID-MT<br/>
  boundary about a mile south of the Canada/US boundary.<br/>
  Monument &quot;3&quot; is further south.  Possibly the phantom monument<br/>
  &quot;1&quot; is at the tri-point.<br/>

  The situation regarding BC-ID-WA is less clear.  Monument &quot;177&quot; <br/>
  appears about half a mile south of the Canada/US boundary.<br/>
  Obviously the numbering must run from south to north in this<br/>
  case so it is hard to speculate about a monument &quot;178.&quot;<br/>

Does anyone else have any additional information, such as<br/>
confirmation of the tripoint coordinates, existance(or lack<br/>
thereof) of monuments, etc?<br/>
