Hello.
I may have the opportunity to try and visit the
British Columbia/Idaho/Washington tri-point and the
British Columbia/Idaho/Montana tri-point.

Brian Butler has(via emails) given me some info on the
NAD27 locations of these points(based on USGS topos):
BC-ID-WA - N48^59'57" W117^01'53"
BC-ID-MT - N49^00'03" W116^02'53"

Initialy Brian had indicated these points were not monumented,
however in a subsequent email he said:
Now, having taken another look at the topo map containing
BC-ID-MT tri-point, I notice monument "2" along the ID-MT
boundary about a mile south of the Canada/US boundary.
Monument "3" is further south. Possibly the phantom monument
"1" is at the tri-point.

The situation regarding BC-ID-WA is less clear. Monument "177"
appears about half a mile south of the Canada/US boundary.
Obviously the numbering must run from south to north in this
case so it is hard to speculate about a monument "178."

Does anyone else have any additional information, such as
confirmation of the tripoint coordinates, existance(or lack
thereof) of monuments, etc?
Thanks
