UTM's just a mapping convention - I think these coords are dd mm.mmm
format, presumably WGS84 - which won't be in strict alignment with
whatever antique system is used for the WVS/WDB data.
But here are the conversions:
1. Germany-Czech R-Poland 14.8233 50.8706
2. Austria-Czech R-Slovakia
3. Austria-Hungary-Slovakia 17.1608 48.0067
4. Austria-Hungary-Slovenia 16.1139 46.8691
5. Austria-Italy-Slovenia 13.7141 46.5230
6. Austria-Switzerland-Liechtenstein 9.5309 47.2707
7. Germany-Switzerland-France 7.5898 47.5886
8. Germany-Luxembourg-France 6.3667 49.4695
9. Belgium-Luxembourg-France 5.8186 49.5463
10. Belgium-Luxembourg-Germany 6.1376 50.1302
11. Belgium-Netherlands-Germany 6.0210 50.7542

The error in my data is in general a few thousandths of a degree (=
several hundred metres), with the notable exception of the latitude
of czdepl, which is adrift by several kilometres.
Anyone got any theories why that might be?
