 </span></blockquote>UTM&#39;s just a mapping convention - I think these coords are dd mm.mmm <br/>
format, presumably WGS84 - which won&#39;t be in strict alignment with <br/>
whatever antique system is used for the WVS/WDB data.<br/>

The error in my data is in general a few thousandths of a degree (= <br/>
several hundred metres), with the notable exception of the latitude <br/>
of czdepl, which is adrift by several kilometres.<br/>
Anyone got any theories why that might be?<br/>
