Ejer Bavnehøj and Yding Skovhøj

The height Ejer Bavnehøj (171 meters above sea level) is considered Denmark's hightest point, as the nearby Yding Skovhøj has been artificially raised with a barrow. In fact the top of Ejer Bavnehøj also a barrow so the highest natural point is probably the sprucy hill south west of Ejer Baunehøj: Møgelhøj (170 meters above sea level).

Neither Yding Skovhøj or Ejer Bavnehøj are particulary dominant in the hilly country. For years Ejer Bavnehøj was unnoticed without a road connection.

The "Ejer Bavnehøj society" was founded in 1917, raising a tower to "mark" Denmark's hightest point. Today, you can still enjoy the remarkable view from the tower.

At Skanderborg Tourist Office you can get a special brochure about Ejer Bavnehøj.

Thanks for this! Can you provide a translation/summary of the text?
As someone who keeps note of the highest points of countries, I'm
always interested in more information/pictures.
