our mig torch key homeplace near here is fairly paradise when we have it & <br/>
the adjacent plunge pools & tidal chute to ourselves<br/>
which is in fact most of the time<br/>
but the people who do also occasionally drop in on us are the nicest you <br/>
could want to meet as well<br/>
<br/>
yesterday a paradise dame from maine in a string bikini shot thru the chute <br/>
& then stopped to explain very patiently & to my astonishment that the tides <br/>
increase as you go polewards<br/>
so antarctica turns out to have the greatest differential<br/>
& not the bay of fundy as everyone back down east seems to believe<br/>
<br/>
she said fundy has the greatest run because of its shape & location etc but <br/>
antarctica naturally has the greatest rise<br/>
<br/>
this tidbit seems as tho it might raise some latitudinal handicapping or at <br/>
least fairness issues in maritime boundary matters<br/>
especially at the most grotesque extremes of say dinkum sands on the one <br/>
hand & tuvalu on the other<br/>
<br/>
anyway it turns out mig torch is a true key only at high tide<br/>
but is actually only a pene key of middle torch key at low tide<br/>
& a very prorupted one at that<br/>
consisting almost entirely of our 500foot driveway to nowhere<br/>
<br/>
its little strip of dry land also turns out to be or to have been privately <br/>
owned<br/>
but apparently abandoned or neglected by its owner<br/>
so we are now looking for the monroe county land office to see what if <br/>
anything gives here before we can legally create everyones land here or at <br/>
least fly the pure white flag of surrender to everyones land upon it<br/>

& it is also to the land offices of the 3 relevant counties of greater <br/>
mnndsd that i think i would also apply next<br/>
especially the land office of the eldest or minnesota one<br/>
for any historical records<br/>
of the bois de sioux river positions<br/>
& particularly also of what these 3 counties have been considering the <br/>
mnndsd point in their own longstanding local practice<br/>
because in the end that alone may well be all there is to truly establish <br/>
the point anyway<br/>

likewise the usace efforts to find the truth<br/>
tho i dont think they are the likeliest arbiters of it in this case<br/>

& i am looking forward to trying to answer your several new overnite <br/>

& yes we did indeed just visit key west in the wee hours this morning & will <br/>

but i thought you were just calling these same things virtual enclaves<br/>
