I know I did not update my webpage in a long time, but
as my sister is home and her computer is here, I
decided to update my page on her computer, especially
the weekly geographic facts. All the facts from end of
June are new. Now that my computer is about 99% fixed
(at least everything else works except multitasking on
the web), I should be able to keep it updated. Because
it takes a long time to write down the facts I wrote
on paper over the last six months, I am only done up
to mid-October, but for MIKE's sake, I had to write
down Nov 16. Please check that one.
To those who is interested in land below the sea
level, check out the area in topozone map
http://www.topozone.com/map.asp?z=10&n=4210811&e=615695&s=200&symshow=n
and places to the east and west of it. This man-made
area is probably larger in area than Death Valley. I
am going to add
http://nationalatlas.gov/natlas/natlasstart.asp to my
webpage soon as it has relief now (before there was
not much difference between this and census website on
my page) and that is where I found the depression.
By the way, another cool clickable site is
http://www.gis.zh.ch/GISBrowser/gis-zh.htm# and this
has good map of the Kloster Fahr enclave I will add to
the e-mail.
Arif
