visited the dry flws point yesterday at perdido key beach

btw here again just as with the texas semicardinal extremities it is
necessary to distinguish flws from flsw

then photographed alflus 3nm due south or rather sw00d01m from dry flws
since this strange loxodrome tho apparently not picked up by usgs mapping
can be inferred from what bus&ss says about the alfl boundary on page 105
namely
in 1953 fl & al agreed to define alfl at the perdido mouth & extend it
seaward into the gulf of mexico as follows

thru a control point at nlat 30d16m53s & wlong 87d31m06s alfl runs first due
south for 1000 feet & then inflects ever so slightly sw 00d01m00s as far as
the seaward limits of the states

it isnt clear why this turnpoint was necessary from the already southeast
facing beach but perhaps it was because fl wanted to be able to press its
9nm claim to the full limit & even wrap its waters westward around the 3nm
claim of alabama to whatever extent possible

usgs mapping doesnt indicate the turnpoint or the wraparound
as you can also see at topozone on the 100k scale

also must report a complete failure to find or even rationalize both of the
mississippi federal waters tripoints lamsus & almsus owing to reasons
already given & additional complications of geography & remoteness
