The original is in Scotland of course, on the Sound of Sleat opposite
the Isle of Skye.

This reminds me - my sister returned from NZ and reported that there's a
place called Ben Nevis there, a name that also occurs near Santa Cruz,
California; and asked: "Who was Ben Nevis??"

(He was a snowy mountain near Fort William, in the same county as
Glenelg.)
