extreme congrats on this elegant report of your excellent exploratory of the greater plbyua area & for successfully completing the closest try at the plbyua tricountry point yet reported here

& of course we look forward to your continuation in the spring

seeing as up to 6 retries are known to have been necessary on occasion to make a try point



your question about whether the border & therefore this tripoint lies in the middle of the river cant be answered without a better map than we presently have

but even better than a better map would be the definitive treaty texts probably 3 in number



failing such improvements tho i would still be willing to make a fool of myself by guessing that the default principle & most common & typically european wet boundary regime is in effect here

namely that the boundary & tripoint lie precisely on the thalweg

or if the thalweg cant be discerned then at the middle of the stream in mean low water
