on the horns of crescent city

my fellow giant trees
nay humongous humangoes

as you probably already guessed
the outbreak of stop signs notwithstanding
i am homing in again on usorca
the federal tripoint where my previous try in early june netted only a
wishfully thought class d visit & photo from the beach in lowering fog

& if you recall any of that
then you probably also realize what a crisis of nomenclature i am having at
this point
not only over this point nor even only over the 20 us marine tripoints as a
class
but over the entire point naming system we have been developing to date

on the one hand i tell myself just shut up & alphabetize the best available
diglyphs & call it caorus again just as before
but on the other hands i say consider the possibilities for making our
entire elegantly simple system still more intelligent
still more mythopoetic
& still more fun

for since this trifederate point is shared among entities on different
levels
there is not only some logic in ordering the diglyphs hierarchically first &
then alphabetically to yield uscaor
but also some extra intelligence conveyed by the atypicality of the
nonalphabetical arrangement

but since i would also like to get a sense of the entire pandoras er rubiks
cube
i cant help also trying out the 4 remaining nonalphabetic probabilities
causor
orusca
orcaus &
usorca

for all are interesting & loaded with possibilities

yet of the 6 permutations in all
usorca seems to win in my mind
both for imaging the punctiliously indigenous great american ork or killer
whale
& for actually improving on the merely nonalphabetic uscaor
by chancing to be completely counteralphabetic
hence a more deliberate & obvious flag
that something unusual is going on here
for any who have the eyes to see it

so i have settled for the moment on usorca
for both its hierarchical & counteralphabetic virtues
& have postponed the question of which is the prior virtue
until such time as someone again faces the waorus
or the only other usmarine tripoints that could call the question
namely the mdva federal triplet of fogotten sibs dcmdvas & dcmdvan
& the prvi pair recently discussed here under the names prusvin & prusvis

but only so much for the naming crisis
& if you have any answers please help

the bigger crisis is in technique

for i have no camera & no gps & no watercraft with me
& my only hope is to improve ever so slightly on my previous weak class d or
really class e visit by visiting but not photographing a true class d

so my question here for you & me is
is it worth it technically

i mean
is it a meaningful improvement & advancement on this otherwise virgin point
& indeed upon this otherwise virgin class of tripoints
for which
you may also recall
the best we have done so far is
an iffy class d photo for usorca & waorus
a true class d photo for demdus
& of course jacks golden glance at njnyus from the qe2

so help me if you can

i am just stalling here at the library because i think the weather may be
clearing later for a more auspicious try

m
