The nijix site has applets for map projections as well, allowing you to see <br/>
how different projections distort the view of a region.<br/>
Great fun to play with.<br/>
As some of these have lat/long built in, you can just type in the place <br/>
names and it gives you the gt circle distance without having to look the <br/>
lat/long up in an atlas.<br/>
