a few photos

Hi Folks,
I promised a while back that I would be sending some additional border pictures in time.  I've been dragging my feet in this because most of my pictures are slides, and it is expensive to get them made into prints.  Now, however, my department has just purchased a slide scanner, which will be valuable since I have many hundreds of slides that might be of interest to the border community.

Here are three miscellaneous border pictures.

1) The first is a close-up picture of the Vatican-Italy border at the main opening of St Peter's Square. I had promised this one long ago--sorry it's taken so long to send it on.  The borderline is the white stone circular line where the granite pillars and chains are located.  The wood barricades are for traffic purposes and to funnel people to entry gates.

2) The second picture is the Italy-San Marino border near at the village of Dogano, San Marino.

3) This is a picture from the US-Canada border where it runs through a bar (no longer in business) on the bottom floor and an apartment on the top floor.

I will try to send many additional photos in the near future.
Cheers,
Dallen
