well loved cnmnrue marker
http://www.photofans.cn/uploads200206/20020817050636018.jpg
is lost in salt marshes at the northeast edge of the
mongolian plain
with no better data or map known than this one when
zoomed in fully
http://encarta.msn.com/encnet/features/mapcenter/map.aspx?TextLatitude=49.83811201786635&TextLongitude=116.7025424021521&TextAltitude=10&TextSelectedEntity=154&SearchEnc=false&MapStyle=Comprehensive&MapSize=Large&MapStyleSelectedIndex=0&searchTextMap=dauriya&MapStylesList=Comprehensive&ZoomOnMapClickCheck=on&ResultsListbox=46.8359970822735%3B103.067008160359%3B1%3B154%3BMongolia%2C+Asia%3BLarge%3BComprehensive

grant has suggested geocoords of 116d697550 &
49d836804
but i believe they were qualified by him as spuriously
exact

so
since i cant see the monument on the satpic
unless it is the faint thingie that looks like a
tripod about 350 meters ssw of the yellow google earth
border line trijunction
which i dont seriously suppose it is
i really cant offer an opinion as to the accuracy of
the previous guesses
nor can i even say which of them i definitely prefer
tho the pushpin is some 150 meters closer to the above
geoposition than the line overlay tripoint is
& the tripod thingie is closest to it of all
for whatever such wild guessing may be worth

but for cnmnruw
we do at least have this map
http://mapy.mk.cvut.cz/data/Rusko-Russia/Altaj/Topo_maps_200k/M-45/M-45-XXVIII.jpg
& mount tavanbogd is stipulated by the ibs too
presumably the summit
so the attached tripoint stretcher simply homes in on
this peak
which it marks with the little red square in the
snowcap
using the google earth contour feature

& so next it is back to colombia just for coecpe
& then a few congos croatias & czechias to clean up
before running out of cees
& into the final quarter of the world class
