both lynetd & lysdtd were fixed by colonial convention
at integral or half degrees of latitude & longitude
as detailed here per brownlie
http://home.worldonline.dk/jesniel/border/african_tripoints.htm#tdlyne
& the borderbase google earth pushpins mark the
predicted approximate or exact locations as precisely
as possible in both cases
so no tripoint stretchers are needed there

but as you can also see on the above page
nengtd is a can of worms of a whole nother color
if you will excuse the expression
since brownlie doesnt completely agree even with
himself in this case

& since ibs 73 for netd settles on the nengtd tripoint
geocoords of
approx nlat13d42m53s & elong13d38m20s
& ibs 90 for ngtd & 93 for neng both settle on
tripoint geocoords of
approx nlat13d42m29s & elong13d38m
it is easy to guess where brownlie imported his self
contradiction from

& i myself would tend to favor the latter geoposition
over the former
if only because it comes up slightly more often in the
best sources
but the former actually inspires a bit more confidence
because it alone is fully expressed in degminsec &
thus in a manner that seems less casual & more
discriminative overall
& also because the pushpin chooses & nails it almost
exactly too

nevertheless the attached tripoint stretching diagram
indicates the alternative & actually the majority
position
just in the interests of full disclosure rather than
to actually disagree in any sense with the pushpin
position

for i actually do prefer & agree with the southwest
corner of it at least
til better data come along

of which there is probably at least some hope
since the area in question is now on the dry bed of
the shrunken lake chad

&
chile would be next but was already completed by
arbocl & boclpe when they came up alphabetically
since thats all there is of chile
so see you next on the flip side in china
