based on a french administrative division
this tripoint is presumptively on the thalweg of the
ubangi river
&
per the ibs & maps by brownlie
also specifically at its confluence with the gouga
river
just above the village of mboulou congo
& very roughly at
n lat 3d 30m
e long 18d 45m
the trick of course is in positively identifying the
minuscule gouga river at all on google earth
not to mention identifying the main channel of the
ubangi in this vicinity
let alone the thalweg position
but also
as the ibs observes
tho the sovereignty of islands in the ubangi might be
implied from their locations relative to the thalweg
available info doesnt indicate the establishment of
their ownership by treaty
&
seasonal & permanent changes in the course of the
thalweg could complicate the interpretation of
territorial claims
so the attached best guessed tripoint stretching
diagram must be hedged & indeed smothered in many such
succulent caveats
but i still think there is a pretty good chance i may
actually have nailed the approximately correct
position here
with the outer little red square
