inattentive oldtimers<br/>

so i will tell you we have most recently finished<br/>
cambodia <br/>
<br/>
& are now proceeding with cameroon <br/>
& specifically with her cfcmtd tripoint first<br/>
<br/>
but the thing that may really throw you for a loop is<br/>
that the 5 tripoints of cameroon involve 2 countries<br/>
that follow her alphabetically in english yet precede<br/>
her alphabetically in iso 3166 2<br/>
yikes<br/>
so you are now or will soon be in for<br/>
cm cameroon<br/>
cf central african republic<br/>
cg congo as in brazzaville<br/>
not to mention that additionally confusing cee<br/>
td chad as in tchad<br/>

& their various combinations<br/>
<br/>
which in the past have often been incorrectly<br/>
alphabetized as a result<br/>
<br/>
so searching for them at bp for example can be a bit<br/>
trickier than for most other tripoints<br/>
<br/>
but in any case the present tripoint is either on the<br/>
thalweg of the mbere river or its median line<br/>
according to brownlie<br/>
just downstream from the village of mbere in central<br/>
african republic<br/>
at approx<br/>
n lat 7d 31m 40s<br/>
e long 15d 29m 40s<br/>
but this is based on map evidence only<br/>
since none of the 3 convergent boundaries was<br/>
demarcated as of 1979<br/>

& at google earth i found i couldnt quite match the<br/>
above approximate geocoords to the river <br/>
but was at least able to find a midriver position<br/>
within 4 seconds of both the stated lat & long<br/>
which incidentally proved much closer to the mentioned<br/>
village too<br/>

so it is with some confidence in these data <br/>
but not complete exactitude or certitude <br/>
that i am offering the attached tripoint stretching<br/>
diagram based on them<br/>
in which the outer little red square represents a best<br/>
guessed corrected tripoint position<br/>
<br/>
& hopefully following next will be similar tries at<br/>
the equally elusive<br/>

in a seemingly disorderly but actually methodical<br/>
world class borderbase google earth boundarypoint progression<br/>
