well this may be a bit confusing for newcomers &
inattentive oldtimers

so i will tell you we have most recently finished
cambodia

& are now proceeding with cameroon
& specifically with her cfcmtd tripoint first

but the thing that may really throw you for a loop is
that the 5 tripoints of cameroon involve 2 countries
that follow her alphabetically in english yet precede
her alphabetically in iso 3166 2
yikes
so you are now or will soon be in for
cm cameroon
cf central african republic
cg congo as in brazzaville
not to mention that additionally confusing cee
td chad as in tchad

& their various combinations

which in the past have often been incorrectly
alphabetized as a result

so searching for them at bp for example can be a bit
trickier than for most other tripoints

but in any case the present tripoint is either on the
thalweg of the mbere river or its median line
according to brownlie
just downstream from the village of mbere in central
african republic
at approx
n lat 7d 31m 40s
e long 15d 29m 40s
but this is based on map evidence only
since none of the 3 convergent boundaries was
demarcated as of 1979

& at google earth i found i couldnt quite match the
above approximate geocoords to the river
but was at least able to find a midriver position
within 4 seconds of both the stated lat & long
which incidentally proved much closer to the mentioned
village too

so it is with some confidence in these data
but not complete exactitude or certitude
that i am offering the attached tripoint stretching
diagram based on them
in which the outer little red square represents a best
guessed corrected tripoint position

& hopefully following next will be similar tries at
the equally elusive
cgcmga cmgagq cmngtd & cfcgcm
in a seemingly disorderly but actually methodical
world class borderbase google earth boundarypoint progression
