actually or allegedly
thats albania & macedonia with serbia as in kosovo
http://www.flickr.com/photos/haxhinexha/80916669/in/set-72057594070509277/
per the title above the pic & the chat below

& it may well be that the man in the yellow jacket is
holding onto the tripoint marker

but i would still like to see better evidence of it

in fact the pix & data here suggest right off that the
tripoint must be situated in a rocky rather than a
grassy spot
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mount_Korab
which makes me seriously doubt the claim

& this better than usual cia map
http://www.lib.utexas.edu/maps/bosnia/fyrm.jpg
& this zoomable encarta map
http://encarta.msn.com/encnet/features/mapcenter/map.aspx?TextLatitude=41.79920807933518&TextLongitude=20.581064609416558&TextAltitude=10&TextSelectedEntity=6893518&SearchEnc=false&MapStyle=Comprehensive&MapSize=Medium&MapStyleSelectedIndex=0&searchTextMap=korab&MapStylesList=Comprehensive&ZoomOnMapClickCheck=on&ResultsListbox=35.9837827176071%3B43.6501099854344%3B8%3B6893518%3BIsm?%c2%91?l+?gh?+A?mad%2C+Iraq%3BMedium%3BComprehensive
& this hopefully also zoomable michelin map
http://www.viamichelin.com/viamichelin/gbr/dyn/controller/mapPerformPage?mapSearch=true&refMap=-t5pomllj0j9idp&refMapWidth=428&refMapHeight=279&productId=42000&map.x=298&map.y=227
all essentially agree in placing the tripoint at
roughly
nlat 41d47m x elong 20m35s
or about 3km northeast of a 2764m peak called mount
korab which most likely corresponds to the 2751m high
point on this old map
http://sunsite.berkeley.edu:8085/albania/50k/11-34-78-3.jpg

& that would place the subsequently arisen alcsmk
tripoint
i would guess
approximately if not exactly at old alcs marker number
3
or perhaps more likely the next peak just south of
there
named kepi bar or bard & indicated at elevation 2595m
since that one does so auspiciously mark a ridgeline
junction
albeit without any border marker indicated on it by
the map

but in any case the true tripoint should be very near
the soviet map coords
horizontal 29 x vertical 65

it may even be possible to figure out which of all
these many crags marks the actual point
http://www.summitpost.org/mountain/rock/152212/maja-e-korabit-golem-korab.html
but i at least havent been able to do that yet

still i hope someone can match up some of this
possibly best available photography with the
topography shown on the above soviet topo
which is still the best available mapping of the area

this happy guy is evidently one crag & one marker too
far southwest
http://www.summitpost.org/image/145051/152212/yours-truly-on-top-of-korab.html
but is still the highest person in both albania &
macedonia
