harry
this is very interesting because meeting points of
greater than fivefold complexity are of course
extremely rare

in fact we have only seen one such case to date
a finnish one you may recall
which was coincidentally first identified as a
septipoint also
but proved on closer examination to be a septicommunal
octapoint
since one of its 7 communes turned out to have a
peneexclave that also met it & the 6 others at that
singular point

the resulting 8 slices of the pie diagram there were
of highly various shapes & sizes
as you can see in the peculiar square symbols
commemorating it at the top of this page
http://www2.varsinais-suomi.fi/seutu/kuhan/
& as is usually if not always the case with complex
multipoints greater than quadripoints

but what makes your dutch megapoint here so highly
unusual & distinctive is that its pie diagram as shown
on the commemorative marker appears to have 7 equal &
identical slices

in fact that peculiar detail strikes me as so highly
improbable as to even be suspicious of some kind of
oversimplification
or manipulation or fudging of the actual geopolitical
data

so i was inspired to look into the matter a bit
& found your 7 convergent villages are today in 4
different communes
aha
& that excited me because it suggested your ghost
septipoint should still be situated today in all
likelihood at a recognizable quadripoint at the
conjunction of these 4 surviving municipalities of
aa en hunze & borger odoorn & coevorden & midden
drenthe

but as i learned from the clickable drenthe
municipalities maps here
http://www.sdu.nl/staatscourant/gemeentes/gemprovin.htm#D
& the individual outputs here
http://www.sdu.nl/staatscourant/gemeentes/gem168d.htm
http://www.sdu.nl/staatscourant/gemeentes/gem356d.htm
http://www.sdu.nl/staatscourant/gemeentes/gem93d.htm
http://www.sdu.nl/staatscourant/gemeentes/gem44d.htm
& finally this precision zoomable map
http://www.drenthe.info/risi/website/risicokaart_pub/risicokaart.html
even these 4 surviving municipalities do not quite
meet at a single complex multipoint
but form 2 distinct tripoints about a kilometer apart
neither of which matches your septipoint

so i have to wonder if there werent some municipal
boundary changes since the time of your 7 village
convergency
or if the true data have somehow been altered to
produce a tall tale that has finally been engraved
into stone
& especially whether you might have any further data
in your source materials or experience that could
resolve these questions
