the enclosing county is devon
& the rock stands on what is today the boundary of the
teignbridge & west devon districts http://www.geocities.com/athens/acropolis/3033/map4.jpg
& marks in addition or rather first of all the
tripoint of the known parishes of drewsteignton on the
north & moretonhampstead on the south & chagford on
the west
as reported
& as confirmable here at dead center http://www.devonfhs.org.uk/pmdevon.pdf
but also appears to have a puzzling e on its east face
conceivably for the nearby locality of easton
but how that or anything like it once fit into a
quadrijunction here is a puzzlement if not a dream
