not only would she very likely want & undoubtedly get one
but she probably couldnt keep cs even if she had wanted to
since iso codes from predecessor states are not supposed to be pinned on their rumps
but are changed on principle just to avoid any possible confusion or embarrassment

thus for example when the czech republic was divorced by slokavia
the former had to change her & their married name of cs to a newly single name of cz

a simple & easy enough thing to do in that case

the difficulty however is most acute in serbias case
since se sr sb si & sa are all taken

so acute in fact that when the latest reduction of yugoslavia aka yu down to serbia &
montenegro occurred
& besides the 5 abovementioned unavailables & the sc possibility youve also ruled out
all the other even vaguely mnemonic choices of sm sn st sg sr & so were also found to be
already taken
it was finally decided to hail none other than czechoslovakias retired cs handle back into
service for this ingeniously restyled even if preposterous crna srpa entity

for at least cs offered a hint of mnemonics
& it was evidently considered less objectionable for serbia & montenegro to be confused
for czechoslovakia
than for czechoslavakia to be confused for the czech republic

& this odd coupling of serbia & montenegro has already lasted far longer than anyone
imagined it would at the time they reluctantly adopted so lame a code for it or them
with the consolation that both the state & the code would disappear before causing too
many problems anyway

true but not just not that
for an independent montenegro would be in nearly as great a pickle as serbia
as was already anticipated in
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/BoundaryPoint/message/5580
where a prospective solution is at least offered

also somewhat quaint if not downright poignant in this general connection
& others
is
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/BoundaryPoint/message/12380

& it is a bit late in the evening to get into all the combinations & permutations of how the
prospective montenegro tripoints & the remaining new kosovo tripoints might be renamed

but i suppose all in due time
