here
pictured in the photo attachment
& so archived again at last
& i trust for good this time thanx to our stalwart
crossfiling system at gmane here
http://news.gmane.org/group/gmane.culture.discuss.boundary-point/last=0/force_load=very/?page=0&action=--Action--
is the worlds largest known tripoint marker

it was erected circa 1924 at what was then a grand
befrgb tricolonial conjunction
& has since 1960 become cdcfsd
aka the trijunction of republics central african &
congo democratic with sudanese
& has even been honorably mentioned in all 3 of the
relevant boundary studies
http://www.law.fsu.edu/library/collection/LimitsinSeas/IBS016.pdf
http://www.law.fsu.edu/library/collection/LimitsinSeas/IBS106.pdf
http://www.law.fsu.edu/library/collection/LimitsinSeas/IBS109.pdf
& singled out on this ibs map
http://www.law.fsu.edu/library/collection/LimitsinSeas/maps/BS16bsmall.html

& the pic has been lovingly copied by me once again
from the 1940 border classic entitled
international boundaries by s whittemore boggs
who in turn credited the royal geographical society in
london for it

it was last wondered about in
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/BoundaryPoint/message/16974
& before that in
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/BoundaryPoint/message/13336

& was first if not last beamed up
however temporarily
in
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/BoundaryPoint/message/748
tho the belgian colonial official of my dim
recollection is looking quite british now
as well he should
when standing on the sudanese side

but what do you suppose that columnar structure is
atop the cairn there

i would sure love to climb that baby

it is said to be 5 meters tall

as an also ran or a footnote or certainly at least an
asterisk
& especially in case anyone weights height over
massiveness
consider in the same breath the undoubtedly taller but
sleek open form of the byruua monument
http://www.bryanskobl.ru/~press/geogr1/index.shtml
while noting that the marker in this case surrounds &
enshrines rather than surmounts & uplifts the tripoint

well perhaps thats a distinction without a difference
tho

but btw
yet somehow most importantly too
can anyone come up with the eluvise first image of
what byruua actually looks like
in between the 3 prongs of the monument on the
pavement there at ground zero
