an interesting thing tho about the tripoint you are
trying to put your finger on there
where dry caus reaches the low tide line
& perhaps pauses to catch its breath before proceeding
out into the being sea
aka caus2akcayt
which also means the point where alaska & yukon meet
the canadian federal maritime territory
is that the direction the caus boundary takes from
there is not only nothing at all like the crazed
zigzag you have discovered
but is actually unknown
or rather in dispute

for by reading 1 & the same treaty in 2 different ways
canada claims caus just continues straight due north
from there
along the same 141st meridian as the demarcation runs
or in other words at about the angle both flagpoles in
the attached pic agree in pointing to
whereas the usa claims caus veers rather noticeably to
the right from there
into a perpendicular relationship with the prevailing
coastline
& thus onto a new bearing of something like n30e as i
recall
or in other words at about the angle both men in the
pic agree in pointing to
as they face the camera with the tripoint almost
visible in the icy surf behind them too

& tho this difference of opinion doesnt at all affect
the position of the tripoint
it does produce 2 different versions of the trifinial
diagram
