first is menh marker 1 near the left bank of the<br/>
salmon falls river<br/>
covered by my dog eared copy of the bus&ss bible<br/>
& marking indirectly the point in the middle of the<br/>
riverhead at the outlet of great east lake where the<br/>
menh survey sector starts today<br/>

second is a close up detail from the first pic <br/>
showing the trypointer marking the turnpoint in the<br/>
river<br/>
<br/>
note how his head lights up <br/>
indicating he must be in exactly the correct position<br/>
<br/>
<br/>
& third is my guess at the original turnpoint marker<br/>
called bryant rock<br/>
where i believe the geodetic survey sector began in<br/>
1740<br/>
when the lake was called eastpond<br/>
& long before the riverhead displaced to its present<br/>
location<br/>
<br/>
this rock matches the dimensions given in the bible &<br/>
is in a direct line with the menh alignment depicted<br/>
on top of marker number 1<br/>
which can also be seen at left<br/>
<br/>
marking the middle of the eastpond mouth as it did<br/>
bryant rock very much resembled the way bound rock<br/>
marked the middle of the hampton river mouth<br/>
<br/>
the 2 mid mouth rocks have no other known type mates<br/>
<br/>
moreover both rivers have displaced from their<br/>
original locations <br/>
stranding both rocks equally on dry land<br/>
