my favorite seafood stand hereabouts is situated at the fantastic reversing falls of the bagaduce river
& i was amazed to notice just yesterday
after many years of return visits
that these falls are approximately marked by delorme as a tripoint of all things
specifically of the towns of brooksville & penobscot & sedgwick
aka brpese
pronounced burp easy i guess

which i did after my ample dinner of crabs & scallops etc
even while i was marveling to suppose that a waterfall
let alone a tidal one
might have been selected as a tripoint

closer examination however at topozone revealed it as a near miss
http://topozone.com/map.asp?z=19&n=4916406&e=523868&s=25&size=l&datum=nad83&layer=DRG25
oops

nice little tidal fragment there tho

& at the same time
this topo also suggests that the tripoint with the town of blue hill
at the other end of the short penobscot sedgwick town line
might be very baggable
as you can also see

indeed it is the only dry tripoint available on the entire east penobscot peninsula here
& the series of markers leading to it are downright provocative of a try
so thats where i am headed next
on this too beautiful a day for sitting in the library another minute

beeps
