Dear members,

Though I didn't post for a long time, I noticed something strange in
an old article. "Keesing's World Events" reports the following:

"August 1961 - INDIA - SIKKIM - BHUTAN

Maharaja of Bhutan's Visit to Delhi.

[...]

Mr. Nehru reaffirmed his previous assurances that any aggression
against Bhutan would be regarded as aggression against India. [About
300 square miles of northern and north-eastern Bhutan, including
some enclaves surrounded by Tibetan territory, are shown on Chinese
maps as Chinese territory, although the Chinese Government has made
no attempt to occupy them.

[...]

Describing China's claims to Bhutanese territory as "a mistake which
I hope they will correct," he [The Maharajah of Bhutan] said that
China would be allowed to occupy any part of Bhutan "only over our
dead bodies." "

How would you comment? Do these enclaves still exist? Any infos
would be appreciated. Sadly, I cannot offer links, since this is a
subscription service.
