meets the chinese border<br/>

plausible not only because it lies somewhere between<br/>
the indian claim to indira col & pakistani claim to<br/>
karakoram pass <br/>
at the respective extremities of the disputed<br/>
triangular area <br/>
but it is even more cogent because the extant<br/>
agreement does say that the line of control proceeds<br/>
from point nj9842 <br/>
north <br/>
to the glaciers<br/>
<br/>
moreover<br/>
since the position resultant from the actual agreement<br/>
appears somewhat closer to indira col than to<br/>
karakoram pass<br/>
it would thus have the added virtue of tilting<br/>
slightly<br/>
if at all<br/>
toward the side that actually maintains control of it<br/>
even after allowing for the mutually desired military<br/>
withdrawal from the most forward positions<br/>
