For those interested in the history of Cooch Behar, this is the
authoritative work. Originally in Bengali, it was intended to publish 2
volumes, but only the first ever got written. It was translated into
English in 1942, and that English edition is very rare now. It has been
reprinted in Benglai, but that's of little use to non-Bengalis.

While the Cooch Behar enclaves get no specific mention, it does cover the
history of the state until the 1700s. It was written by a figure at court
so is perhaps not as neutral as one might like, but there is little other
material surviving.
