comfortably readable copy of the above melville short<br/>
story<br/>
that you may recall i first caught wind & sight of on<br/>
the way to lelnwa<br/>
<br/>
& in 30 pages our droll arrowhead harpoonist is able<br/>
to go pointing for a freakin cosmic rooster in this<br/>
case <br/>
& right around home yet<br/>
rather than taking 600 or 800 pages for a cosmic whale<br/>
on the far side of beyond<br/>
<br/>
& i must say <br/>
as a multidimensional trypointer<br/>
i was as utterly fascinated & completely satisfied by<br/>
this story as i was by moby dick<br/>
as well as enthralled by the personal & literary<br/>
connections to october mountain<br/>
which proved more considerable than previously<br/>
reported<br/>

for the rooster & mountain are even somewhat<br/>
assimilated by common imagery<br/>
<br/>
& it is a very funny & bright story<br/>
<br/>

may even have seen the text on line but have lost it<br/>
for the moment<br/>
