letters from anywhere in South Africa.  There was once a cut off date,<br/>
which got extended and extended again, until there just was no<br/>
definitive date by which they old stamps were demonetized.  They were<br/>
issued in RSA currency and sold through the RSA post office philatelic<br/>
bureau and at POs in the homelands.  An &quot;ueberbleibsel&quot;. <br/>
