http://www.hampton.lib.nh.us/hampton/history/boundrock.htm
says this 1656 or 1657 or 1659 town line rock
which however has evidently worked only intermittently
is second oldest
but tantalizes by neglecting to say what the oldest
rock or date actually is
yikes
so i dont know what to think about any of this

the oldest ones i am fairly confident of are from the
early 1700s
