 </span></blockquote>There are still nationalist grievances bubbling away in some parts, <br/>
although there&#39;s no doubt that an generally improved economic situation and <br/>
granting of local autonomies (in many cases) has diminished the call to arms.<br/>
<br/>
The current European borders are still far from perfect, and as the horrors <br/>
of WWII recede in the minds of current populations, there some once again <br/>
questioning the current status quo. These discussions are never heard at <br/>
national government level, but do exist even if the people doing so rarely <br/>
have any direct grievances.<br/>
