strange
i just gave a pretty hitchhiker from kazakhstan a ride from big pine to summerland
tho i was admittedly going in the opposite direction when i spotted her

at first she said she was from russia tho

like who ever heard of kazakhstan around here anyway

when i asked where in russia
only then did she finally say kazakhstan

then she was astounded when i guessed she was from alma ata

hilarious

we could hardly understand each other tho

3 months in the usa i think she said

& i believe she thought i was personally familiar with alma ata
she was so excited

"There has been much talk about the issue, but we are discussing delimitation, not demarcation. There will be no broken borders, while the border crossing arrangements will be preserved for Russian and Kazakh citizens," said Mr Nazarbayev."

What is broken borders?

Strange how the Kazahs (and perhaps the Russians) associate demarction borders with ploughing.

Is this really an open border?
