near lobster creek <br/>
around mile 10 <br/>
at dusk last night<br/>
& had another moment of truth<br/>

do i continue onward & upward & thus invent nocturnal sawanabori<br/>
or do i shut it down til daybreak<br/>
<br/>
fortunately i decided to stop<br/>
for it really isnt golden enough if you cant see anything<br/>
<br/>
& then in the morning i also realized all the distances were much <br/>
longer than i had thought & my gas tank much lower than i had thought<br/>
so at mile 14 i finally turned it around & back to gold beach for gas<br/>
<br/>
another good thing<br/>
for not only would i not have made it thru at all<br/>
but i also realized how different the river looks in the opposite <br/>
direction<br/>
& saw a fairly golden signpost i had missed yesterday <br/>
for<br/>
god wants you creek<br/>
i kid you not<br/>

i will have to check it out on the continuation<br/>
<br/>
but i also realized how sometimes it is more fun to recap & share <br/>
than to forge ahead<br/>

i will not however return to gold bridge yet again to report on <br/>
every successive bridge that i reach in future<br/>
at internet cafe prices<br/>
but will actually proceed & continue upstream in earnest now <br/>
