Mike D.:

I decided to perform an experiment by independently evaluating Texas for county
quadripoints. I have consulted a number of detailed map sources and have
produced the attached result. The possible candidates shown in red are definite
misses (in most cases where there is an offset from a true cardinal cross). The
ones in green seem (within the limits of my best maps) to be true quadripoints.

I then compared my results with your count in message 547. You have 31 dry and
two wet quadripoints. I have 31 dry and one wet. What am I missing? My only
wet one is Brazos-Leon-Madison-Robertson (where the Old San Antonio Road crosses
the Navasota River).

I realize that you might not have your notes with you on the road, but we
probably need to resolve this eventually.

Thanks,
