after some much needed refreshment <br/>
i headed immediately up to mdvawv<br/>
where i recovered marker 30a again with no problem<br/>
& tried to measure off the correct distance to mostly legal mdvawv<br/>
with a real tape measure<br/>

again i wished spooky mike & his gps tech were really there in the <br/>
flesh<br/>
both to get the compass bearing perfectly right & to get a backup <br/>
fix on the target point<br/>
<br/>
& the tape kept getting hung up & releasing etc<br/>
& in the end i had to accept a less than direct line<br/>
& had to guesstimate additional length for the hangups<br/>
but i figure i nailed it in the end to within 5 feet of the truth<br/>
& marked it with the nearest available piece of trash<br/>
a slightly      ed corona bottle<br/>

& i photographed this not unimprovable but thus far crowning glory<br/>
<br/>

& then i also continued this alignment down to the water line <br/>
which was only about 10 horizontal feet & 1 vertical foot away<br/>
<br/>
a rather surprising fact in view of how low the river was at dcmdvan<br/>
<br/>
& dipped a toe in there for an alternative view of mdvawv<br/>
just in case maryland will not accept to be on the right bank under <br/>
any circumstances<br/>
