Here's yet another source for this area.
While visiting Montenegro earlier this summer I bought a map of Serbia-Montenegro & Rebublika Srpska (in Bosnia-Hercegovina). It is called "Auto Karta SR Jugoslavia / Auto Karta Republika Srpska". The scale is 1:700000. If I understand the information right it should be updated to November 1999.
 
I'm sorry for the bad quality of this picture, I've taken a photo of the map with a digital camera. Anyway - you can see, at this map, there is no enclave. Also note that the border is very close to the village Herc.-Goles, and this is not the situation in some of the other maps we have seen here on BP-list.

No retirement!  Ok I remember buying a map of the
region but it must have been different from Rolf's.
The map I have shows no enclave.  Here is a scan.
