So what class is it, if the monument is so large you cannot climb on it, you can only touch it, or walk around it in a few seconds.

PLSKUA would be that kind - http://www.nicolette.dk/borderbase/tripoint.php?c1=114&c2=124&c3=144&orientation=

class a
means
you absolutely got it
& this is normally applied only to marked tripoints
where typically you could put your fingertip on the dimple or
crosshairs or apex that the monument itself uses to represent
the tripoint
or it could also be the precise pinnacle of an unmarked summit
tripoint

class b
means
you have basically been there as best as could be
& this is normally applied only to unmarked points
where the range of possible precision does vary
but it presupposes the same maximum diligence as class a

class c
means
you got close enough to actually see the tripoint
or else to clearly visualize the tripoint location

class d
means
you got a distant glimpse
& only a general sense of the location

class e
means
you earnestly tried but your objective completely eluded you
& for whatever reason & at whatever distance
you never even saw the exact tripoint location

ironically
this can even happen while posing triumphantly & leaning
against the monument
so some people have an especially hard time with this one

of course there have been many other proposed systems
& many other proposed classes to add onto this system
including some great parodies all the way down to class zzz
as in only dreaming you tried

but i think it is important to stop short of adding class f
since that might imply failure &or academics
both of which would be a lie
as there is never any failure here but only varying degrees &
levels of success
& these are all practical & intensely real rather than academic

PRESENT A CONSENSUS ON RULES AND REGULATIONS ON
WHAT IS AND WHAT'S NOT
MEANINGFUL/DESIRABLE...BECAUSE WHAT IS MEANINGFUL
IS IN FACT VERY MUCH A MATTER OF CHOICE.

right & that is what i think this abcde scale effectively is & does
since it has been collectively developed & widely employed
even since before the days of bp

yes & i think it must forever remain so if we are to stay as slightly
& delightfully strange as we obviously are
