As a participant in this group, who only occasionaly
makes postings, but who does at least look at the subject
line of all postings(I receive them by email), I'd
like to make 4 suggestions that would, I think, make
it easier for people who are perhaps not "deeply involved"
in this group to read this group's messages.

1)
Have a FAQ, and/or other documents, for this group,
available in a "FAQ" folder in the groups' files area,
and referenced in the 'footer' attached to the group's emails.
Things that should be covered are tripoint classifications,
abbreviations in common use(e.g. bus&ss), etc.

2)
When a reference is cited in a message, always provide
a URL if the material is on the web. This includes
references to prior messages in this group.

3)
Use proper sentences, including capitalization.

4)
Trim all unnecessary text when replying to messages,
especially when interleving comments within the reply.

I mention these things because for an 'outsider', or
'occasional participant', some of the discussions in this
group are very hard to understand(e.g. abbreviations
and references), or follow(e.g. lack of readable text).

OK, I'll 'duck and run for cover' now ;-)
