thanx for this & all these interesting questions

obviously there are many individual preferences & standards

the objective standards of tripoint classes however appear to be
basically a hierarchy of subdivisional levels
beginning from the world class or primary or tricountry point level
& descending locally to whatever the secondary & tertiary &
quaternary etc subdivisional level tripoints happen to be

for example in the usa it normally goes tristate points & then
tricounty points followed by trimunicipal points etc

i believe we have occasionally descended thru quintenary
sextenary septenary & beyond
perhaps to the ninth level once somewhere in the pyrenees

& this still doesnt take into account various hybrid or split level
tripoints such as binational tripoints & border crosses etc
all of which also seem to also enjoy an objective prestige
which might place them at the heads of their respective classes

another objective aspect is
the number of entities comprising the multipoint

so quadripoints are greater than tripoints
& quintipoints are greater than either of them
& sexipoints if any are greater still
etc etc

we believe the greatest such point in the world is an octapoint

& these 2 apparently objective standards might even be
combined to determine the global maxipoint apparent

an objectively greatest multipoint in the world

when bwnazmzw exists
which we believe it occasionally & evanescently does
it is the only quadricountry point on earth & thus the worlds
premier megapoint

when it doesnt exist
which is at least the vast majority of the time so to speak
perhaps one would have to seek additional objective standards

& of course there are also our supposedly objective
classifications of the objective accuracy of our visits

COULD YOU GIVE ME AN EXAMPLE OF WHAT DO YOU EXACTLY MEAN HERE?

but i dont think that was actually your question yet

more below

I would compare it to publication classes, like f. ex. when it
comes to merits of somebody. There is an official class or rating
list at international level for authors of publications. The more
you publish in highrated levels of publication, the more scientific
"champion" you are, and acknowledgmentes you get.

but yikes this is a different question

are there different classes of prestige or merit or championship
in trypointing society

i think the answer to that is no

I THINK I HAVE BEEN MISUNDERSTOOD HERE. I ONLY TRIED TO EXEMPLIFY MY IDEA, AND THE TO PRESENT A QUESTION.

there is an unofficial & very subjective olympics for number of
tricountry points tried
but this doesnt pretend to detain itself over objective accuracy
nor could it
since every tripoint has its own idiosyncrasies & demands
as does every trypointer

YES, I'AM VERY MUCH AWARE OF THAT!

> I would like to know if there is any consensus on what tripoints
are the ones most desired, and downwards, what tripoints are
the next best in line and then after that group, what tripoints are
after that group again and so on.

ahh now you have veered back toward your original question

but standards & consensus are slightly different too

my sense of the consensus here is that there is as little
consensus as necessary
since it appears everyone is wanting to take this adventure in
their own way

which is fantastic I COULD NOT AGREE MORE!!!

BUT ON THE OTHER HAND A GROUP CAN ALWAYS PRESENT A CONSENSUS ON RULES AND REGULATIONS ON WHAT IS AND WHAT'S NOT MEANINGFUL/DESIRABLE...BECAUSE WHAT IS MEANINGFUL IS IN FACT VERY MUCH A MATTER OF CHOICE.

many people dont really even recognize the multipoints
themselves on any level as anything special at all
but are quite happy to clutter our rarefied air with anything but

so consensus isnt very meaningful here

> Also, what would be the categories in achieving the tripoint,
that is, on how close one can get. Is the ultimate goal to stand on
it, hug it, stroke it, touch it just lightly, sit on it, perhaps even kiss =

it, just there where the exact tripoint is?

again you are mixing 2 questions at once
DEPENDS ON HOW YOU SEE IT...

for how close one can get we have been using an abcde scale
WHICH IS?

but closeness may be an ultimate goal only for some of us

i think it is a great ultimate goal
since why try if you dont mean it

YEP, I CAN NOT DISAGREE!

but i also think novelty & self expression are great ones too

& of course we have already done all the beautiful things you
mention
OH HOW NICE!

of all the important things that remain undone
i think only sleeping on it & fucking on it could take us farther VERY MUCH SO INDEED....

What about the slightly more inaccessible ones like the wet
ones, or those with snow or ice on it. Would the geographical
coordinates of the tripoint on my GPS count for enough?

not if you care to & can do better

YES, IF I FOLLOW YOU CORRECTLY, IT IS THE INDIVIDUAL CHOICE AND PERSONAL PREFERENCES AGAIN...

THANKS
