I would prefer to have these catagories:

A. Visiting, touching, circling a dry tp monument
B. Close dry spot near wet tripoint with no marking
C. Reasonable close visit, but inaccessible due to danger etc.

also please note
in this olympic event
the class of the try is considered irrelevant

it is only the fact of the try that is counted

if we kept track of classes too
there would be many other events & standings
& other medalists

but i was trying to keep it as simple & singular as possible
& especially not to challenge anyone for their bona fides

in the event in which perfect visits to the precise tripoints is
required
all of the counts will of course have been much lower

& i didnt want to get into all that hairsplitting for purposes of this
event

it would be both tedious for the judges & demeaning to the real
heroes

for in many cases
as we have just seen with atchlin & bcidwa for example
it is hard enough to split the hairs necessary to see & describe
what a perfect visit even requires

so maybe just think of it as taking steroids

everybody gets to take all the steroids they want in this event
to get their scores as high as possible

but of course precision tripointing is still a fact too

the central fact
i would say

otherwise why bother with any of this
