this is peculiar

for one thing
we know these tripoints are quite wet
so it is technically impossible to follow the exact instructions
given in the text for marking them

& for another
we dont know if there is a tripartite agreement about them even
yet

& that could affect the placement & orientation & nature of mdua
marker 1

indeed its unusual designation 0001 suggests it could already
be something more than a common line stone or turn stone

or that it could have been envisioned to become something
more

so conceivably
in addition to clearly being the mdua initial or terminal marker
this monument could already be serving as half of the tripoint
demarcation
or could become coopted for that purpose in future
if mated to an intervisible companion on the romanian right bank
in the fairly conventional witness format aka indirect demarcation

but there is no reason to suppose romania would be in any hurry
to agree upon or to install such a marker
say unlike the distinctly self interested north korea at cnkpru

so
also conceivably
the final tripoint position may already be clearly & deliberately
indicated
not by any actual trilateral hardware as such
but simply by prolongation & projection of the mdua segment
between markers 2 & 1
as far as the thalweg or midway or whatever mdro is actually
defined by

indeed a fully effective demarcation
especially for a border with this kind of termination & this kind of
indifferent third party
would naturally place the first 2 monuments in a sight line
toward the tripoint
