effective, but the ESGB treaty by which Britain ceded the Floridas to Spain was<br/>
signed on the same day as the definitive GBUS treaty, that being September 3,<br/>
1783.  This is according to Thomas Falconer in ON THE DISCOVERY OF THE<br/>
MISSISSIPPI, AND ON THE SOUTH-WESTERN, OREGON, AND NORTH-WESTERN BOUNDARY OF THE<br/>
UNITED STATES (London: Samuel Clark, 1844).<br/>
